Thirty years ago, Dr. Donald Burton founded the Ohio Wildlife Center to foster awareness and appreciation of Ohio’s native wildlife through rehabilitation, education and wildlife health services. Today it is recognized as one of the largest wildlife rehabilitation facilities in the country. As Jack Hanna, Director Emeritus, Columbus Zoo and Aquarium says, ”Don’s passion for animals and strong leadership has propelled the Ohio Wildlife Center to the wonderful animal organization that it is today”. “His work on the Columbus Zoo’s Board of Trustees and the Ohio Wildlife Center are unparalleled.”
